Weekend in Seoul

So this past weekend, we took an impromptu trip to USAG Yongsan. We hadn't planned anything and just got in the car with the boys. We should have planned a little better. It took us over 2 1/2 hours to get there! Traffic here is so aggravating! The highways are a mess and ill thought out. Korean drivers are lunatics and aren't afraid to crash into anyone.

Needless to say, by the time we got there, we were NOT anxious to get back and drive home. Instead we decided to stay the night at the Dragon Hill Lodge and drive back Sunday afternoon. Matt and I thought it would be a fun mini vacation. Get us all out of the house and off each other's necks.

So we did. We enjoyed sushi at our favorite restaurant on Yongsan. Desserts from the bakery in the basement of the hotel. Breakfast buffet in the morning. Christmas shopping in the PX and Mini Mall. Grocery shopping at the Commissary. All in all a full two days. And ALMOST worth the 1 1/2 hour drive back home.

This holiday weekend, Yongsan movie theater is showing HP7 numerous screenings every day. I haven't decided yet if it's worth driving back for or if I want to wait until it comes here.
